Our Drivers
About Bangladesh Unbound Pilots
Tour Drivers are the second most crucial pillar of Bangladesh Unbound. Driving in Bangladesh is one of the most challenging jobs in the world. In Bangladesh, where most drivers who drive recklessly follow and obey no traffic rules, not all drivers are skilled and safe to drive on Bangladeshi roads.
It’s also prevalent for most of the drivers in Bangladesh to arrive on time. It doesn’t matter what time you booked your car or asked your driver to pick you up; they will always be late and make an excuse for anything. A 5 to 10-minute delay can be considered an exception but 20-30 minutes late! Or if it happens all the time!
In Bangladesh Unbound, when a driver drives his van full of foreign travellers, he must keep in mind a couple of essential things like safety, attentiveness, timely manner, being patient on the road, driving safely, proper maintenance and cleanliness of the van, sanitising the van before and after each tour. And must be an honest man. It’s standard in Bangladesh; drivers steal travellers’ stuff when they can, but not in Bangladesh Unbound.
Our drivers are strictly instructed and are forbidden to answer phone calls while driving. And they are also advised to lock the van and stand outside the vehicle when the guide and guests are engaged in some activities.
Here’s how we ensure they’re honest, best, skilled, professional and safe to drive with.
